Two ways to move
Out on the map, Acku steps one hex at a time and the world waits for him. Inside a chamber -- or wherever something comes for him -- everything runs in real time, and it is sword against whatever the Ancients left behind.
A Bronze Age king, a bronze sword, and five relics to wake the great Altar.
Honored Origins has its store pages on Google Play and the App Store (iPhone, iPad and Mac). Its first region is playable and the rest of Snoheland is being built. Nothing is in review yet, and there is no date. The playtest list hears about it first.
Long before the first Honored temple, a young Bronze Age king named Acku dug a machine out of the sand. It called itself the voice of the Gods, and it sent him across Snoheland for five relics: the five pieces of the largest Snohe Altar ever found.
Honored Origins is a top-down action-adventure on a hand-built hex world. Walk the mesas, the dunes and the shallow salt sea of the Honored homeworld, find the Ancients' buried chambers, and fight your way to the relic at the bottom of each one.
Out on the map, Acku steps one hex at a time and the world waits for him. Inside a chamber -- or wherever something comes for him -- everything runs in real time, and it is sword against whatever the Ancients left behind.
One thumb walks, the other aims the bronze blade in any direction and cuts; hold it and let go to spin. Hop over pits and out of the way of a charge. Every chamber ends with a guardian and gives Acku a new tool, and each tool is the key to the next part of the world.
A blade passes straight through a ghost in the dark. Throw light on it and it can be fought. And every relic set back in the Altar makes the ghosts stronger.
Acku is cold-blooded. Shade and wounds drain his hearts; standing still in the sun, or resting at a shrine, warms him back up. Run out and he faints, and wakes at the last shrine he touched with everything he found.
